This painting was inspired by a video I was watching by Albert Handel demonstrating oil painting techniques that he employs in making his beautiful paintings. The abstract artist in me had to exaggerate how he added color by working a paint filled edge of a palette knife across parts of the painting as well as the flat of the palette knife leaving dabs of paint in its wake. I don't apologize for over indulging in his technique as I enjoy the sense of aliveness that was created.
